Team Robotics is part
of Quadrant BBS Systems Based in Staffordshire. This page has been setup for the developement and
design of Electronics,Robotics, and computer control software for robotics, with over 21 years experience in computers.
and over 10 years experience in electrical repair and design, We have decided to build a robot to put all the skills
learned over the years into practice, We are currently building a full size replica of the Johnny Five Robot from the
Short Circuit films of the 1980's we are really excited about the project, and have collected all the servos and linear
actuators needed to make the robot function. all parts used are original parts which have been located surplus or
made to order for the project, The only big changes that have been changed are the track drive motors and there control system, I have also made some design changes for quick release of the track units from the base, For cargo box storage the robot will strip down into, Arms, Head, Upper Torso,Track Units, and Base with the Lower Torso folded down.
With a programing background in Assembly Language and Visual C and experience in electronics, We plan to
have the robot fully computer controled, we are currently capable of controling r/c servos and linear actuators, Via
Serial or Usb interface, Having just received several Bluetooth modules from National Semiconductors. We are
planning to experiment with Bluetooth interfacing. The electronics side of things is currently at a cross roads of
which way to progress serial square bus or servos all usb interfaced independantly identifiable as plug and play on
the system, A similar system can be used with either method.
I believe the future is limited only by the imagination Robots will one day be part of society...."
